Anxiety is a state of inner panic manifested by insomnia, palpitations, tremors and a deep psychological malaise. During these anxiety attacks, life seems stressful and out of reach. It's as if we are losing control of ourselves, so of our life. But we can get away with it, believe me!
Having lived in this state of anxiety for years, I can afford to give you hope that you can find peace within you. The first thing to do is to find calm by breathing regularly. I know your breathing is fast and your heart beats very hard. Try to relax. There are very good books on relaxation that will help you.
Maybe you can not do it and everything is swirling in you. I used to call a friend in the middle of the night to calm down and it works. And when that was not possible, I took paper and pencil and I wrote all my thoughts and God knows how there is a great inner dialogue during these crises. I would have taken my head and put it on the bedside table just to stop thinking and resting.
Do not despair because these anxieties have something to make you understand. Your body is speaking to you seriously so stop looking for the causes of your anxieties outside of you because they are in you. To cure the effects of your anxiety, you must find the cause (s). For that, it's important that you talk about your condition. Get out of your bubble and do not judge yourself anymore. There is nothing shameful, on the contrary: it's human. Do you allow yourself to be human with your strengths and weaknesses or maybe you believe yourself "Superman" or "Wonderwoman"?
I strongly suggest you take a paper and a pencil and write your inner fears. Let yourself go and be honest with yourself. Drop the masks. You will surely discover great fears in you that cause these anxieties; since anxiety is synonymous with fear.
We do not always have a "psy" at our side to listen to us, so it is important to have tools within our reach to help us during these crises. Relaxing, writing, talking, consulting, are tools that will help you find the causes of your anxiety and thus no longer suffer the effects. So instead of living in fear you will live in faith and trust. Because if anxiety is synonymous with fear and fear is the opposite of faith and trust.
